If you don’t know, get to know- this weeks album is Alligator Bites Never Heal ,Tampa Bay rapper Doechii’s debut full-length album under Top Dawg Entertainment. The 19-track project showcases Doechii’s extreme versatility as the ‘Swamp Princess’ explores themes of love, life, stress, confidence, and more, whilst tackling a seamless blend of heavy old-school hip-hop influences with modern beats and R&B cuts.

Ahead of the mixtape’s release on August 30, 2024, Doechii launched her “Swamp Sessions” series, a bold creative challenge where she set herself the task of writing a song in under an hour and to post the results to her YouTube channel along with music videos. “BULLFROG”, “CATFISH”, “FLORIDA WATA”, “SUNDAY’S BEST” and “BOOM BAP” were all released one-week apart.
