Collaborating with the groundbreaking collective of jazz, hip-hop, and soul artists known as the Soulquarians, the singer immersed himself in the rich history of Black music while simultaneously paving and shaping its future. The result of years of hard-work and dedication was D’Angelo’s second album, Voodoo—a daring and fluid work that pushed boundaries far beyond the structured sound of his 1995 debut, Brown Sugar.
